Nothing really to share. We're truckin right along. Our last appointment (November 30th) at 12 weeks went smoothly, and was pretty boring. Other than we got loaded up with free stuff and have to make some decisions on birthing classes, etc. Our midwife had a little bit of a challenge finding the baby's heartbeat with the doppler...so I may have broken a small sweat in the few minutes it took to find it. I guess the placenta is close to the surface, with the baby hiding behind it. She had to maneuver the baby a little and have the nurse use the doppler...and there it was, beating at a strong 160bpm.
We were supposed to have our 16 week appointment this week, but since we just got on Craig's new insurance, we've had some hang ups with paperwork. We delayed the appointment until next Wednesday in hopes that we'll get some confirmation from the insurance company to give to the doctor, plus Craig reasoned that delaying a few days will also allow this appointment's payment to count towards our 2012 deductible. No big deal, but I cried, not really wanting to wait a few more days to hear that heartbeat again.
Over Christmas, we had a nice, pretty snow in hometown of Hereford, TX. I had my sister take a few pictures of Craig and I (and our "Snowbaby") to document the occasion. Plus, I needed some photo of us pregnant to "announce" our news. I promise, I will try to take some belly shots soon, just haven't had a chance yet. Its just starting to grow more now....
(Obviously, you can tell my coat is no longer fitting! ha! Guess I need to pull out my old, roomy coat!)

Aw loved seeing these pictures on FB! So cute, and isn't it fun to be public now?! :)
ReplyDeleteI can totally understand the disappointment about the delayed appointment. It's still hard for this to feel real even though our stomachs are starting to grow. Hopefully Wednesday will be here before you know it!
